Golden Hour - Burns, WY

When my aunt moved to Wyoming a few years ago that really opened up the perfect reason to make our first trip west. Our first visit was in May 2019. I went back in December of the same year with my grandma and cousin. Getting to see lots of snow was so fun! Fast forward to August 2021 and we went again. This time with my mom and grandparents. While they visited for a week, we ventured to southern Colorado and New Mexico. Those blogs will come later! Before we started that part of the trip we did some backroad exploring in Wyoming. We could spend days doing this and never see everything. Add cameras to the mix and there’s endless possibilities for some pretty amazing photos!

The trip from Nashville to Denver was an adventure to say the least. But we got to see some of our favorite places from above! The day before our flight the higher elevations of the Colorado Rockies got some snow!

We took an afternoon ride to Burns, Wyoming which is a small town about 30 miles West of Cheyenne just off of I-80.

The lighting was starting to turn that perfect golden color so we went back to the grain elevator. The photos we got here were nothing like we had ever shot before and very fun for us!

Wyoming is the perfect state for photography. Some of our favorites photos are ones that we have taken while there.

This was just the first of several Wyoming blogs to come. We wanted to show some of our favorites, and especially Golden Hour at Burns.

Don’t worry, there’s more Wyoming to come!
