Railroad Photography is something that sets up apart from your usual landscape and travel photographers. We’ve both been had a love for railroads since a very young age and started photographing trains in our teenage years. We’re both very active with the Southern Railway Historical Association and do a lot of work with the photography collections there. Steam locomotives are definitely our favorite topic when it comes to railroad photography. Modern day stuff just doesn’t compare. A lot of our roadtripping and vacations involve railroading in one way or another. Whether it’s chasing the Union Pacific Big Boy across Wyoming or riding the MARC commuter train into DC to explore for a day, we always find a way to incorporate our passion.

Allyson has had a strong interest and love for railroad stations for several years. When roadtripping it’s not uncommon for our route to or from to include several depot stops. This is a part of history that is slowly fading away, and our goal is to see as many depots as possible.
